The Joy List

The Joy List is something that Trevor found really helpful when struggling with depression and low mood. In those times when you can barely remember what happiness feels like, doing something simple to boost your mood is really important. But how often have you been able to come up with a positive idea, make a decision or even move off the sofa when you’re in the depths of depression? Exactly, enter: The Joy List.

Making a list of simple things that bring you a little joy is a powerful tool. Stick that list up somewhere you can see it regularly and when you are in those dark places try one. Having the list ready to go takes the difficult decision making and thought out of the equation when, quite frankly, your energy is needed elsewhere. When making the list ensure they are things you can do with zero preparation and everything you need it on hand. We are aiming to eliminate any obstacles between you and your much needed mood boost.

We believe everyone should have a joy list, you never know when low mood, mental exhaustion or a stormy situation may hit. This is your cue to write one now! To make it super simple we’ve created a free template for you to use and a list of ideas to get you started. Hit the button below to download it now.

If you in a dark place and you don’t know where to begin, why not reach out to a loved one and ask them to help you write your joy list? We have found it a brilliant way for loved ones to support those suffering with their mental health; not only do they have more brain space to come up with ideas, they can also prompt you to try something from your list when before they wouldn’t know what to suggest.

Lastly, if you are struggling right now we pray that the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Much love,

Fi & Trev
